Taking to his X handle on Tuesday, Sudheer Babu expressed his disappointment with Arshad Warsi's comments, pointing out the lack of professionalism in such statements. He wrote, “It's okay to criticize constructively but it's never okay to bad-mouth. Never expected the absence of professionalism from Arshad Warsi. Prabhas's stature is too big for comments coming from small minds.” His response highlighted the importance of maintaining respect within the industry, even when offering critiques. Arshad's initial comments were made during a podcast interview with Samdish Bhatia, where he expressed his dissatisfaction with Prabhas's portrayal in Kalki 2898 AD. He said, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata (What have you made of it? Why do they do such things I never understand).” These remarks did not sit well with fans, who were quick to defend Prabhas and criticize Arshad for his choice of words.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD was a massive commercial success, grossing Rs 1100 crore worldwide following its release in July. The film features Prabhas as Bhairava, a bounty hunter from Kashi, while Deepika Padukone plays SUM-80, a pregnant test subject. Amitabh Bachchan takes on the role of Ashwatthama, a character from Indian mythology, and Kamal Haasan portrays Supreme Yaskin, the leader of the Complex. The plot revolves around Bhairava’s relentless efforts to make enough units to survive in the Complex, only to have his plans disrupted by Ashwatthama.

While Arshad Warsi's comments have generated controversy, his own career remains active. He was recently seen in the web series Asur and Modern Love Mumbai, and he is set to star alongside Akshay Kumar in the highly anticipated Jolly LLB 3. However, his remarks about Prabhas have left a mark on his image, as many in the industry and among fans feel that constructive criticism should be delivered with respect, especially when discussing a star of Prabhas's caliber.
